Fit for Heaven, Perfected Bodies – Acts of the Apostles Pt. 66

WEBCAST –

One of the most wonderful aspects of the future for those who have placed their trust in Jesus is that our old, weakened, and worn-out bodies will be remade and resurrected to be with Jesus at the time of His return to earth. Our old “bag of bones” will be reconstituted to be just like Jesus’ post-resurrection, glorified body (Philippians 3:21). It was in that body that Jesus ascended from this earth directly into heaven without needing to be changed one bit (Acts 1:9).

Now the idea that our current corrupted physical frames are and will be the stuff out of which our eternal, fit-for-heaven, perfected bodies are made is not without many questions. It is enough for us to know, whoever, that Jesus will transform them by His power. What we do continually to keep our bodies healthy for a longer time on earth He will perfect in an instant so that in eternity they will never get tired, sick, wrinkled, gray, or chubby. Now that is something to look forward to!
